How it works
Six stages, each with a clear output. You always know where things stand and what they cost — before they happen.
- 01
Enquiry
You tell us the outline — where you live, your citizenship, what's worrying you. A few sentences is enough. No documents, and nothing sensitive, at this stage.
We reply within one working day: either a consultation proposal, or an honest note that you may not need us.
- 02
Consultation
A structured conversation mapping your position across both systems: filing obligations, deadlines, exposures, opportunities.
You leave with a clear picture whatever you decide. Where work is needed, we set out exactly what and why.
- 03
Fixed-fee engagement
A written scope and a fixed fee, agreed before any work begins. If something new emerges mid-engagement, the change is priced and approved first.
You'll never learn the cost of something from an invoice.
- 04
Information gathering
A tailored checklist — only what your situation actually requires — and a secure channel for documents once engaged.
One set of information feeds both returns; you are never asked twice for the same thing.
- 05
Coordinated preparation
US federal return and UK Self Assessment prepared together, with credits, elections and timing decided as one strategy rather than two.
Cross-border reporting — FBAR, Form 8938 and the rest — is handled in the same pass.
- 06
Review & filing
You see and approve everything before it goes anywhere. We walk you through both returns in plain English, then file on time.
After filing you get copies, a summary of positions taken, and the dates that matter for next year.
Start at stage one
An enquiry costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Most people wish they'd sent it a year earlier.
